Blast From The Past

Something New to Read. The original blog article was posted 12/18/2007 05:58:00 P. Just about four years ago (http://winjama.blogspot.com/2007/12/something-new-to-read.html). Then this comment showed up just the other day.
I am Helga you wrote about? Christl and I are here in Vienna, we are Austrians (and not Swiss) and would love to hear from you. Who wrote this lovely post on us. We miss you too and hope to see you again.
I answered back with this comment.
Hi Helga and Christl,
It's so nice to hear from you after all this time.
First, let me apologize for screwing up your country name. Of course it's Austria. That was truly a bonehead mistake.
I wrote the post. I'm glad you liked it.
BTW, we're still using the bed that we bought from you as well as the two night stands. I'm sure you wouldn't recognize any of them. We had an upholstered headboard made for the bed and Dianna applied mosaic tiles to the tops of the night stands.
We remember talking to you both at the friendship luncheons, which still go on at the Purple Toucan.
Although I can't say we were good friends, it was sad for us when you both left.
Likewise, we hope to see you again sometime.
Dave and Dianna
PS - It's most unusual and very cool for this blog to have someone comment on a posting that's about four years old. Thank you. - d
So, that settled it in my mind. I've wondered if folks read some of the really old stuff on the blog. I guess they do. As long as it's still relevant, there's good info to be obtained.

Anyway, it was nice to hear from our Austrian friends (see, I got it right that time.).

Actually I have been reading your blog nonstop for about a week now. I am the Carson City, NV IP address and we're Mike and Kim. I'll be in touch again soon. All our best to you two and KEEP HAVING FUN!

  2. Hi Mike and Kim,

Man, you really are reading the blog. You've activated the Way Back Machine for real. This post is from 2011!

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'm looking forward to hearing from you as well.

We want to get your thoughts about our posts, and what you would like to see here.

Unfortunately, adding an image to your comment can't be done directly. The only way you can do it is to include the URL of the image from a hosing server, which means that first, you must upload your image to Flickr, Dropbox, or some other image hosting server.
Not very good, but that's all that is available right now.
