with a topic. So, for the next while, the blog is going to be somewhat scattered. Not too bad, I hope, but enough that I'll be able to cover each bit in small enough chunks that I can deal with them. So, let's get started.
Life after a broken hip is a learning experience, even if the broken hip isn't your own. When it happened, I knew things were going to be vastly different for Dianna. I was completely unprepared for how much my life would change as well.
For example. There's a plethora of new toys for Dianna. Walkers and canes just to name a couple.

There's a bazillion little things that I'm now responsible for simply because Dianna can no longer do them. And, there's a few big ones. Like, I'm the cook now. Not just once in a while, or when I feel like it, but for breakfast, lunch, supper, and 'midrats' - (seagoing terminology for 'midnight rations', that is, a meal for the guys coming off watch at midnight, as well as for those going on watch) for those times when we manage to stay up past eight o'clock in the evening, and we feel the need for a little something to snack on. I'm the man for that. And for breakfast, and for lunch, and for supper. What an adjustment.

Not very good, but that's all that is available right now.
