Weird Crap Going On

Hi Everyone,

All of a sudden, I'm unable to create comments, or to reply to comments on this blog (Julian, I understand your frustration). This is my own blog, dammit! I should be able to do what I want to on it.

I tried four times to reply to a comment by Wilma. Each time it told me I had to select a profile - while I was logged in to my blog. If I find out how to correct this, I will try to let you know. Until then, please don't be disappointed if I don't reply to your comment.

Thanks for your understanding.

Cheers,
Dave

Here's what I've learned Dave. First I create the comment. Then I copy by highlighting the entire comment (ctrl+A) and then copy (ctl+C) and now select Google Account. I click on Publish. The screen clears, and I have log into Google with my username + pswd. Once done it then comes back to this screen with the comment block again - which is now blank, but this time it has me selected as Comment as . I use paste (ctl+V) to put my comment back int and then click the Publish button. I'm trying it now.

Weird, but it seems to work. Evidently, when I comment as my google account it loses the info in this block when it goes to log in to my Google Account. So maybe you could select how to comment as first and then enter the actual comment after that. I dunno...

I'm trying this comment normally since I'm still showing just below this block as Comment as; my google username show.

are you by any chance using draft.blogger.com instead of www.blogger.com?

Thanks Everyone,

I finally tracked down the problem. it's an add-on to Firefox, called Privacy Badger... since removed. It was the one thing that was preventing my comments and/or replies from being posted.

Anyway, all is well now, at least till the next crisis.

Thanks again for all your help.

Cheers,
Dave
