How Arthur Did It

Dr. Jeff Masters Wunderblog at (http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/comment.html?entrynum=954&tstamp=200806). Jeff is a co-founder of the Weather Underground (http://www.wunderground.com/). In it, he explains how Arthur surprised us. That's cause Arthur started as a girl in the Pacific as Alma. She crossed over Nicaragua and Honduras, into the Western Caribbean, loosing steam in the process and being downgraded to a tropical depression - and with no name. It reformed into a Tropical Storm on the Caribbean side and was renamed Arthur. Jeff said only two Tropical Storms have previously survived the crossing of Central America as depressions and reforming into storms or hurricanes. Arthur is the third. Looks like we're almost breaking new ground.

Not very good, but that's all that is available right now.
