I tried today to get enough eye-bolts, etc., to complete it... Natch, hardly anything was available the day before a holiday. And, that was from three different hardware stores!
Our intent is to leave it extended unless we have a tropical storm or hurricane. I'm sure there may be exceptions, we'll see.
So far, it has fluttered a bit in a 20 MPH fresh wind and otherwise, stays very stable (whew!).
Cheers,
DaveDave Riderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15038109966699072504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9432310.post-8611003409251958522011-04-21T15:32:47.473-06:002011-04-21T15:32:47.473-06:00That is neat material - my next door neighbor has ...That is neat material - my next door neighbor has it over his pergola and it does a great job. Of course he has it nailed down so your way is a lot better. My only concern would be if the wind came up while you weren't there. I'm assuming you'll keep it drawn up tight while not using it??

JulianJRinSChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07221452682380379316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9432310.post-59423304280965050312011-04-21T03:36:33.279-06:002011-04-21T03:36:33.279-06:00Hi Wilma,

It doesn't block any rain or anything like that, but it does make a difference in the pool.
We're looking forward to getting the other half up, so it makes the deck more usable as well.
Cheers,
DaveDave Riderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15038109966699072504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9432310.post-77117949152870772552011-04-20T20:47:42.701-06:002011-04-20T20:47:42.701-06:00Your shade cloth set up is very impressive, Dave! ...Your shade cloth set up is very impressive, Dave! I was expecting it to block more sun, but it looks like it just "takes the edge off" the intensity.Wilmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14717012784233946753noreply@blogger.com
